What type of reservation are you looking for?
Spring Lake Access Request
Funded or unfunded research or contract work requiring "access to the lake" including all-park events must complete a Spring Lake Access Request Form to be reviewed by the Spring Lake Access Committee. This applies to Texas State faculty, staff, and students as well as visiting scholars from other institutions, and contractors hired to do specific contract work.
Special Event Reservation
Underwater filming, athletic events utilizing the lake such as a triathlon or the Texas Water Safari, must fill out the Spring Lake Access form. Any other outside private event must fill out the Special Event Form.
Conference Room Reservation
Our conference room in Spring Lake Hall is a great venue to host meetings, classes, or presentations for groups of 85 people or less.
Photography/Filming Policies & Procedures
The Meadows Center wishes to support the media in publicizing our programs and also recognizes the need to support students who request access for filming and photography at Spring Lake in support of their academic coursework. Any requests for news photography and non-commercial film making (i.e. news media, student-led projects, personal projects, etc.) at Spring Lake should be directed to the communications manager.
Any requests for commercial non-news photography, film making or videotaping at Spring Lake should be directed to the director or assistant director of the Office of Media Relations, as outlined in the Texas State Commercial Filming Policy.
Any individuals or organizations wishing to operate an unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), including drones and model aircraft, at Spring Lake must complete the UAS Request Form for review by the Office of Environmental Health Safety & Risk Management prior to any UAS operations on university property. In addition to the UAS Request Form, a Spring Lake Access Request Form must be submitted to the Spring Lake Environmental Review Committee.
